Refund Policy

Effective Date: December 2, 2025

Beau Brown for Congress (the “Campaign”) is a federal political campaign committee registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). All contributions made through beaubrownforcongress.com are considered political donations to support Beau Brown’s campaign for the United States Congress.

Because contributions to federal political campaigns are heavily regulated by federal law (52 U.S.C. § 30118 et seq. and FEC regulations), refunds are strictly limited and permitted only under specific circumstances outlined below.

1. General Rule

All contributions are considered final and non-refundable unless one of the limited exceptions below applies.

2. When a Refund May Be Issued

The Campaign will issue a refund in the following situations only:

a. Duplicate or Erroneous Charges
If your credit card or payment method is accidentally charged more than once for the same contribution, or if a technical error causes an incorrect amount to be charged, we will refund the duplicate or erroneous amount.

b. Contributions in Excess of Federal Limits
Federal law limits how much an individual may contribute to a federal candidate per election. If your contribution exceeds the applicable legal limit (currently $3,300 per election for individuals in the 2025–2026 cycle, subject to adjustment by the FEC), the excess amount will be refunded or reattributed/redesignated as required by law.

c. Ineligible or Prohibited Contributions
If a contribution is from a prohibited source (e.g., corporations, federal contractors, foreign nationals without permanent resident status, etc.) or otherwise violates FEC regulations, the full amount will be refunded.

d. Contributor Error Within 60 Days (Limited Exception)
If you notify us in writing within 60 days of the contribution that it was made in error (e.g., you intended to contribute to a different candidate or committee), the Campaign may, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by FEC regulations, issue a refund. Requests after 60 days will not be honored.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for one of the reasons above, please email us at support@beaubrownforcongress.com, subject line: Contributions (mailto:support@beaubrownforcongress.com) with the following information:

  • Full name and address

  • Date of contribution

  • Amount contributed

  • Last four digits of the card used (or other payment identifier)

  • Reason for the refund request

  • Any supporting documentation (e.g., bank/credit card statement showing duplicate charge)

We will respond to properly documented refund requests within 10 business days.

4. Processing of Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method when possible.

  • Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

  • The Campaign is not responsible for any fees or charges assessed by your bank or payment processor.

5. No Refunds for “Change of Mind” or Disagreement with Campaign Positions

Contributions are voluntary donations made to support Beau Brown’s election to Congress. Once made (except in the limited cases above), donations cannot be refunded simply because a donor changes their mind, disagrees with a campaign statement, or regrets their decision.
